Dynasystems completes onsite repair of DUCS Watch Towers and Dynatower Blast Resistant Windows.

The U.S. Department of State issued a Sole Source Award to Dynasystems for the procurement of Dynatower and DUCS watch tower windows to replace windows damaged by hostile action at a Government facility within Afghanistan.

To reduce the amount of disruption to base security and other entities within the camp, it was not necessary to dismantle the tower during this process which meant that normal day-to-day base operations could be conducted without disruption. The repair of the blast resistant windows were done on time and within budget.

Dynasystems Blast Resistant Windows help reduce the injuries sustained in a blast as a result of flying glass. These windows also protect against ballistic threats.

The basic Dynatower can be upgraded with the addition of a variety of equipment such as machine gun mounts, firing ports and air-conditioning units. Rooftop access allows for the installation of other equipment such as automated machine gun mounts, long range scanning devices and networked communications equipment.

Dynatowers have undergone continuous testing and development in live fire exercises to ensure its reliability and personnel safety. These tests have been conducted in accordance with the standards, methods and practices approved by NATO, US Government’s Technical Support Working Group and the UK Ministry of Defence.
